If you would like your child to heighten their listening skills, mental well-being and connection to learning through a 6 week FUN co-creative multicultural experience then please reach out to me directly.

Your child will receive a beautifully presented personal journal ( with inspiring quotes ), inspirational videos, high-impact assignments and a positive pathway to the unique voice that is their birth right— singing. I have spent 20 years championing children’s voices.

Their creative, singing, inner voices have so much wisdom to share.

Search For the Sparkle is the culmination of all my experiences inspired by children from around the world.

One thing that I notice everywhere I go – children have magic to share with each other and with us big kids too!

I am so honoured to have been entrusted with so many young peoples creative journeys. The singing, songwriting journals that have evolved during this time is one of the greatest gifts to my life.

It has inspired the Sparkle journey that I have been curating around the globe with a remarkable assembly of hearts. Like minded musicians, teachers, child psychologists, writers, drama facilitators, documentary film makers, business advisors and investors who believe that every child’s voice matters and that creative education and nourishing experiences creates space for all children’s voices to flourish and for our future leaders to experience the collaborative spirit of our common language, music.

“This was when I knew his heart had healed when he was dancing at the edge of the surf. It had been a long road which began in October 2019 when Hunter broke down saying he didn’t understand the world and didn’t want to be here anymore - it just about broke me

We started the journey to his Autism diagnosis with a dear friend who is an OT and then out of the blue you contacted me about Sparkle and Hunter said YES

Along that journey he found his happy and this photo says it all.

Thank you Corinne for bringing magic to our lives.”

helping children find their sparkle

A global project honouring children’s voices through a unique creative journey.

Who we are

We are a global team of professionals devoted to listening to children’s voices and giving them a creative platform to express their ideas, their fears, their joy, their challenges and their tears at this pivotal time in history.

What we do

Search for the Sparkle will raise the vibration amongst communities of children, offering them a creative journey that they will remember for the rest of their lives.

What we believe

We believe that, given the tools to believe in themselves and value their own voice, children have the capacity to come up with their own solutions and consciously stay connected to hope in a way that is real for them.

“Singing is so beneficial to self soothe to promote creative and critical thinking and also to support a genuine connection to joy.”

trust intuitive voice

A creative journey that supports children to trust their own voice, their intuitive voice, speaking and creative voice.

Creativity is part of all of us. When this is unleashed in your youth you trust your own voice, ideas and intuition on a foundation of confidence that flows into all parts of your life. Imagine growing up believing in your own ideas, feeling a connection to your own self image that allowed you to be more self aware and kinder to yourself .

cultivate SELF BElief

Facilitating space where every voice matters so that every child can cultivate belief in themselves and know that they have something worth contributing and that they will be heard.

Inspire confidence

Provide a safe space to share and explore creatively through music, drama, written word, visual arts and dance. Giving the children confidence to be themselves and to voice their concerns and joys. Experiencing true freedom to be exactly who you are.

practice mindfulness

Encouraging clear mindful communications and connections with children from different backgrounds and countries in collaborative workshops is mindfulness in action. It is exciting for children to connect to children from different cultural space. This encourages a deeper appreciation for each other and fine tunes listening skills.

“An exciting opportunity for our young people to connect to positivity and
to their singing and creative voices in a unique way.”

CREATIVE MENTORING PROGRAMME

FOR CHILDREN

Our children are growing up in an interconnected international world but so often these connections are void of real interaction where children are seen, heard and understood.

At Search For The Sparkle we offer creative workshops for children aged 7-14 years from a wide range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

We offer two types of workshop . . . in-person or virtual.  The benefit of virtual workshops is that they include children from different countries as well as different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

Our workshops are intensive musical and artistic immersive experiences for children led by professional artists.

Our team of professional scriptwriters work with the children to write a script inspired by children’s input from the workshops. Creating culture-specific dialogue, situations, and lyrics inspired by their personal experiences and imaginations. Each child will be encouraged to share their aspirations and find the confidence and ability to tune into their own wisdom and intuition.

The workshops culminate in the children performing their musical together.

Stress

Children’s lives are already becoming fractured at alarming rates due to school stress, and prevalence of virtual lives and lack of personal connections

Mental Health

Worldwide 10-20% of children and adolescents experience mental disorders. Half of all mental illnesses begin by the age of 14 and three- quarters by mid-20s.

self harm

Self-harm is the third leading cause of death for adolescents and depression is among the leading causes of disability.

The troubling rise in mental health issues is exacerbated by . . .

The rise in use of social media, which often include fabricated or extremely skewed views of people and their lives.

The traumatic effects of COVID-19 and its social and economic impact.

The media coverage of protests and conflicts.

“Music is the language that connects us all.”

What will Search For The Sparkle do for your child?

  • Ignite their creative voice

  • Light a pathway of hope and empowerment

  • Create connections to self

  • Create connections to others through close collaboration and cross cultural exchanges

  • Build empathy and understanding of other cultures, backgrounds and needs

  • Encourage mindful communication

  • Develop critical thinking skills

For many of the children, the workshops will be their first experience in a space that is focused on their challenges, their perspectives and their innate creativity.

The general benefits of music in a child’s life are far-reaching.

Music-making facilitates all learning as it boosts creative energies through the production of alpha and theta waves. It involves the left and right brain hemispheres simultaneously, and assists basic memory recall.

Music also enables students to accept constructive feedback and improve critical thinking, thereby enhancing their perceptions of the world.

Our vision . . .

To joyfully connect children to their voices and create a global movement that raises the vibration for our future leaders. To unite different cultures of children through music.

Search for the Sparkle provides the opportunity for children to participate in this extraordinary journey, to search for the power that lies within.

“The wellbeing and mental health aspects of this musical project are
ground-breaking and of utmost importance in the current educational climate”

“Thank you for a magical day at your workshop. I learned copious amount about performing and singing.  Now this can boost me with my own play I’m practicing at school. Thank you for this significant experience.”

Jade, 9

“It opened up a whole range of opportunities for me. It meant I was able to talk to people more and express my creativity during lockdown. I feel more capable than I think I am. Corinne makes me feel more confident in everything I do. I feel happier in general, like everything is going to be ok.”

Hunter, 10

“I love every single thing about the play, my favourite would be the message they find at the end ‘the sparkle is within your heart’.”

Sophie, 9

Search For The Sparkle ignites the creative voices of our children, lights a pathway of hope and
empowerment, and creates connections to self and others at this particular time of need.
